Connecting JDBC: MYSQL and VISICHAT via RED5 to establish a connection

Hi, would someone kindly post step by step instructions on how to connect the jconnector to the visichat MySQL database via JDBC and the RED5 server. After the jconnector is uploaded how and where does the jdbc:mysql path to the visichat MySQL database need to be inserted so that a connection is established ?

Please keep the instructions as simple as possible. Just need help connecting visichat via the jdbc: mysql jconnector as required for it to load.


Does the red5.jar file require editing to include the jconnector in the MANIFEST.MF file after the jconnector is uploaded to --> jdk_1.6/lib/ext directory ?


PLATFORM: CENTOS 4.8
JAVAHOME = jdk_1.6/bin/

Maybe instructions for a Windows based servers will help too.
